English term

steaming

English to French Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering DREDGING
• The propeller plume from the TSHD is modelled as a moving point source in two ways. Firstly, during dredging, the propeller jet will generate a plume that will be mixed with the dredge head plume. Secondly, while ///steaming,/// a smaller propeller plume will be generated. Where the depth of the water under the keel exceeds 3 m, the plume generated whilst ///steaming/// is negligible as the bottom current resulting from the propeller jet is small. Hence, where the depth under the keel is greater than 3 m, the effects from the propeller are ignored.

Etuvage ?

en navigation

In EN we say 'steaming' or 'sailing', the FR can use just one verb, 'naviguer' for both
