Glossary entry (derived from question below)
English term or phrase:
Featured
French translation:
Reportage
English term
"Featured wedding" gallery

Jul 31, 2008 11:51: Claudia Iglesias changed "Field" from "Marketing" to "Art/Literary" , "Field (specific)" from "Other" to "Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts)" , "Field (write-in)" from "site web de photographes spécialisés \"mariages\"" to "site web de photographes spécialisés "

: Emma, I don't think "featured" says anything about the style/approach of a given gallery.

As I see it, the feature is not a different gallery each week/month, it's another gallery containing the photos of a featured wedding day.

: As I see it, it's actually a featured couple's wedding day. Galérie à la une gives the impression that it's one type of photo 'eg portrait' that is focussed on. "Reportage à la une" is closer, but too much like a newspaper headline. "Mariage à la une"?

I think this depends on whether we're responding to the phrase or to Claudia's explanation (which may or may not be definitive, but doesn't seem to match, to me)
