Glossary entry (derived from question below)
English term or phrase:
3 POINT HITCH WOOD CHIPPER
German translation:
Holzhäcksler mit Dreipunkt-Gerätekupplung
English term
3 POINT HITCH WOOD CHIPPER
Das macht er so grob beschrieben: The TOWNSUNNY 3 Point Hitch Wood Chipper is a rotor with blades for chipping wood. A hinged feed hopper moves the wood material into the rotor.
Each rotor is designed with 4 blades and a twig-breaker to generate the small pieces of wood. A stationary knife at the rear of the rotor housing is placed by the moving knives to shear, chip or chop the material.
The tractor provides rotational power through a PTO shaft on the front
of the frame and hydraulic power for the hydraulic feed hopper.
Hilfe!

The three-point hitch (British English: three-point linkage) most often refers to the way ploughs and other implements are attached to an agricultural tractor. The three points resemble either a triangle, or the letter A. Three point attachment is the simplest and the only statically determinate way of joining two bodies in engineering.
A three point hitch attaches the implement to the tractor so that the orientation of the implement is fixed with respect to the tractor and the arm position of the hitch.

Thanks, dear Kim, I have already gone thru (I guess) 1000 pictures in the net and I know, what it looks like, but how do I say it in German? |
