English term

7 clear days' notice

English to German Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) GmbH
has to be given to convene a meeting. Is this "7 volle Tage" or is there another standard expression that I
miss? TIA.

Discussion

swisstell (asker) Dec 2, 2006:
I did not ask for a definition but rather a translation.
Kim Metzger Dec 1, 2006:
Search tip: enter "clear days" in quotation marks in Google. The first thing that comes up is a definition. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Clear days

"clear" entspricht im deutschen Handelsverkehr "voll":

"CLEAR DAY" or "CLEAR DAYS"-means that the day on which the notice is given and the day
on which the notice expires are not included in the notice period

Clear days:
days reckoned from one day to another, excluding both the first and last day; as, from Sunday to Sunday there are six clear days.

Acht Tage:
