English term

User Manual, User Guide

English to Hindi Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
"Read the meter’s user manual for operating instructions.
Refer User Guide for further instructions."

This is a non-tech (not related to computer or software) text and hence I don't think "prayokta" for "user" is a good option.

Looking for alternative options to choose from. I was thinking of transliterating "manual", your opinion please?

Thanks and Hapyy Diwali and Eid Mubarak.

PrayoktA Niyam-Pustika/UpyogkartA Niyam-PustikA/PrayoktA Manual

Manual is a small booklet which contains instructions with regard to the usage of some machine or instrument. Whenever the users face some difficulty in handling the same, they can refer the manual for fixing the problem because it generally encompasses info in respect of each and every feature and operation of the machine.

There seems to be no harm in its transliteration either because "manual" is a quite common term. And I personally feel that "guide" should be transliterated as its literal translation i.e. "digdarshikA" might not be understood by one and all.

Hope it proves somewhat helpful for you.

prayoktha niyamavali

Declined
Prayoktha- is better than upbhoktha here. Niyamavi is a set of rules and proceedures.

Comment: "IMHO the manual is not a book of rules, it doesn't set "niyams", it just helps the operator how to use the machine, a technical reference. But, thanks for your suggestions."
