Se questa concatenazione di cause viene interpretata come un sistema, potremmo combattere le malattie infettive non solo con le medicine, ma anche con l'installazione di servizi igienici a compostaggio, che non richiedono nemmeno l'uso di acqua.

Come vedi qui, il concetto è generale, può comprendere il compostaggio oppure no. Vedi tu dal contesto come preferisci rendere il termine. Buon lavoro :-)

| Su "a compostaggio" non saprei, visto che non specifica se è a privy OR a composting toilet: per questo temevo il termine tecnico, onnicomprensivo. |
