kameturtleさんと同じですが、もう少し詳しく定義してみました。ここでは英語の定義がホテルの客室に限定されているので加えませんでしたが、ツアーの種類を指す場合や温泉旅館を利用する場合は「日帰りコース」の意味合いが含まれることもあります。

宿泊することなく昼間だけ客室を使う場合をデイユースと言い、この料金をデイユース料金と呼ぶ。小規模な会議や会食、空港での待ち時間などに利用されることが多く、宿泊料金より低く設定されている。
