The verification assessment of the whole method repeatability performance of a new method consists of 10 replicates of the same sample which are analysed by the same technician on the same day, at the same approximate time, under the same conditions (e.g., same batch of media, membrane filters, Quanti-Tray* MPN pouches) and all samples are incubated in the same incubator. A minimum of three sets of repeatability data should be prepared using different sources of and levels of target organisms. Naturally contaminated samples are preferable.
