(little table in a wiring diagram)

"fan motor: local air cooled"

does it mean that the motor is cooled by "local"? air?

Self cooled

When the fan pushes the air in front of it, remember it is sucking air from behind it! This flow if air from behind the fan is sufficient to cool the windings. Hope this helps :-)
