Finnish term

augmentaatiproteesi

Finnish to English Medical Medical: Dentistry expert opinion
"Esitiedot (anamneesi)
XX-vuotias nainen. Vuonna 2003 augmentaatiproteesi." Further text is not related to this at all. The patient has a different operation after. I sjhall somehow understand "augmentaatiproteesi" and I have no chance to contact the client/patient directly.

I found this:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14739896 palatal augmentation prostheses for speech and swallowing in patients undergoing glossectomy

"augmentációs/augmentatív protézis"

Discussion

Hannele Marttila Sep 8, 2017:
Yes, there is a typo there!
Tarja Karjalainen Sep 8, 2017:
There's a typo in the Finnish term, it should read "augmentaatioproteesi", and if you google with that, you'd find plenty of hits which would lead you to the conclusion that the most probable procedure has been breast augmentation rather than the post-glossectomy palatal augmentation. Augmentation prosthesis would be correct, as already suggested by a colleague.

the target language is, of course, Hungarian but I am trying to find an answer with more chances here
