Alas, this is quite urgent and my research has me with "electroluminescent lighting and colour LED programming" but I would like confirmation from someone who actually knows what s/he is talking about :-)

Thanks so much to both of you. Alas, I don't know much more about what they are doing, except that these are lighting techniques used in a parade that takes place at night. I will go with what I have. Thanks again for your quick help!

electroluminescence = electroluminescent lighting. Je ne voulais pas intervenir parce que mon anglais n'est pas sûr. Après l'avis de Tony, je pense pouvoir confirmer. Il n'y a donc pas de problème.

Techniquement, il n'y a rien à redire. Explication : les LED sont commandées par un système programmable qui les allume et les éteint pour obtenir des effets de couleurs. programmation des diodes de couleur = colour LED programming :-)

Sounds logical enough Mara, but without knowing a lot more about what they're actually doing, it's hard to be sure --- I'm not a specialist in these techniques.

As VJC has so kindly confirmed, in the absence of any more detail, I think you are safest going for your suggestion of the obvious, literal translation.

My only suggestion would be to perhaps change round that LED programming, in order to make it fit slightly better with the first item.
