Je vois souvent "fenêtre(s)" ou "window(s)" ... d'opportunité.

I would personally use window because more general; normally time is allocated to backups in the form of windows ( ex. 23:00 to 04:00 ) and not specific times. In the previous example, the backup would be done anytime between 23:00 and 04:00.

Note from asker:
merci - je cherche le mot en anglais..."window" ou bien "time-slot"? |
Hi Arnold - yes, we speak of windows of opportunity. But in the IT world, woudl we say, "The solution’s infrastructures can be defined and harmonized with the other time-slots/windows in order to limit management efforts." |
(sorry didn't give you the full sentence before) Backup timing/time-slots/windows specific to the XXX solution’s infrastructures can be defined and harmonized with the other time-slots/windows in order to limit management efforts. |
Desperately seeking confirmation! Are you saying time-slot is the winner? MAny thanks for time slot you've allotted! |
Again - many thanks. can you suggest any bilingual IT glosssaries? I am in the midst of a huge translation and need a good reference. |

timing
The text seems to be referring to the timing of the copy processes.
'timing' is just sufficiently ambiguous (it can mean either a point in time or a period of time) to allow you to leave out 'range', 'zone' or whatever.

time slot
I think the text refers to "plage horaire" (managing time slots)
