I actually had thought of 'authorizes' the two parties to amend the contract/agreement, etc....what do you think?

Yes, but the Bond agrees to - a document agrees or consents? I was thinking grants, or something to that effect, I just can't quite place how to word it, though. But if agree makes sense, that is actually what I have now, so I will keep it in that case.
