This is a quote by Frank Störch. Now, I have one or two good ideas about how to translate this, but was wondering whether any recognised English translations exist. My own research has failed to uncover any, but perhaps someone here who is familiar with Störch or at home in the art world generally might be aware of one. My policy with quotes is to use existing translations if they exist and are widely recognised; otherwise I'm quite happy to render my own translation. TIA for your assistance.

I am not sure if there is an equivalent phrase in the english language. This would be my suggestion for a possible translation.
