German term

aufprägen

German to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks paintwork
While we're at it, can aufgeprägt mean applied here in the following. Please refer to my previous question for more information.

Sounds to me like another one of those (German) technicians, trying to show off his enormous vocabulary. I've always liked the motto 'keep it simple, stupid!'.

Right on, man. ;-)
Note from asker:
Actually he's a doctor of engineering so he is obliged by German law to use long sentences and terms nobody has heard of!

maybe also 'pressed-on':

It has now been discovered that PMD can be substantially reduced if, during drawing of the fiber (13), a torque is applied to the fiber such that a "spin" is impressed on the fiber.

I don't think "apply" is wrong but it is the air pressure/ with which the paint is applied here or the applied pressure of the paint-airstream.
