In a user manual for a document management program and describing the various data fields.
Sind Felder in hellblau unterlegt, handelt es sich um Pflichtfelder mit Positionserfassung. Positionserfassung bedeutet, dass Felder mehrfach mit Werten belegt werden können (oft gehören zu einem Vorgang mehrere Artikelnummern oder Projektnummern/Kunden.
The screenshots call these fields position fields but this doesn't seem right. Does anyone have any ideas? I understand that you can enter various data/values in this field, which are then used as subsequent search criteria.

nothing to do with the German word which is wishy-washy, but what I would call them from the definition which is given (I design software btw). You need the hyphen to show you mean fields which accept multiple entries rather than multiple fields which accept entries. If the values are entered as a list, with or without a separator eg "123, 457, 998" or " 123 457 998" then you could call them List entry fields instead.
