German term

Unterfütterung

German to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software software

Discussion

Note: I just found a verb that would work for unterfttern: to bolster. Now I need the noun.

substantiation

how I understand it.

The numerischen Kennwerte are obtained from the geschlossenen Fragen (those with yes/no answers), and the open answers/remarks help 'explain' these Kennwerte.

I think that might be the meaning, but there might be a better term.
