German term
Sicherung von Verlagsrechten durch ständige Lieferbereitschaft
This is one point from a bulleted list about the advantages of on-demand printing, and I am just not able to make sense of it. How does the "ständige Lieferbereitschaft" ensure the "Sicherung von Verlagsrechten"?
Any assistance would be much appreciated!

secure publishing rights by being able to supply (books or editions)
The point is that a publishing house no longer able to supply a book eventually relinquishes the right to publish it (often a clause in publishing contracts), the author may enter into contract with another publisher

After a second thouht, I think Robert is right : publishing rights is better than copyrights, but I stick to the rest of the sentence.
