Maybe "in general" but I am not at all sure.

I like Paul's suggestion! (I had thought of "approachable", but "accessible" is much better in this context.)

Thanks for your efforts! Yes, there is some discussion about luxury companies beginning to use the Internet in the same way as mass market companies. Sorry I didn't mention that (excuse - this is a big job with a tight deadline and I'm very stressed - so what's new). Good on Kevin for working it out. "There is enough evidence to suggest" that he is totally on the money.

Wish you hadn't asked me that! Yes, that was going to be another KudoZ question! I dug around in my Trados concordance, however and came up with "wants proximity from the brand".

This is an intuitive reaction more than anything else - is there any further information available (i.e. what exactly do they mean by "auf Distanz")?

Hi Stephen This is a nice neat phrase, thanks, but UK-Googling indicates that it is still taken to apply to mail order and the only alternative mentioned in my text (now delivered) is the online one.
