Glossary entry (derived from question below)
German term or phrase:
Psychoschiene gefahren
English translation:
and didn't (immediately/simply) assume I was nuts/crazy/mentally disturbed
German term
Psychoschiene gefahren
Full comment:
Something like "did not drive me crazy", maybe? My understanding is that previous physicians were clueless about the illness and it was not until this person met a doctor specializing in rare diseases that he or she was correctly diagnosed.

: Considering the register, "mental" on its own should be fine. Look, I found an old yearbook: 'Favourite Saying What do you think I am, 'Mental or what?'" http://collections.mun.ca/PDFs/collegian/1966_67.pdf

: This is basically the same as my answer, but loses the "Schiene fahren" metaphor.

And gains the colloquial aspects of the source text.

Or route.
didn't try to pin it on psychological factors/problems etc
did not consign me to the psycho treadmill
instead of just referring me/sending me off for psychological evaluation
the crazy train
Just a suggestion, if you want to retain a sense of slang. And a reference to Schiene.
Discussion
Here's an alternative that would warrant some consideration in this context:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/psychobabble
Two examples:
"This retrovirus should have been discovered at the same time as AIDS and the last few miserable decades of my life could have been avoided…No more excuses and no more psychobabble"
http://www.investinme.org/Article-352 The Role of Viruses in...
"I had dealth with my dysfunctional childhood, I had moved on I had been successful happy, contented even after my 2 brothers both died one after the other [...], I endured all the psychobabble under the sun!!!"

@asker
Please note the use of Psycho + [standard German word] instead of Psycho + [Greek ending]. This is important, IMO, because we're at a much more colloquial level.
Besides, it's a "comment on social media." I'm not sure about the last time that I heard someone speaking in, say, proper or formal English on Twitter.
There's also the matter of non-capitalization and the double question marks. You don't have to keep those things--but I wouldn't clean it up too much either.
