Of course they use the word 'prosecutor' in the US.

DAs and their deputies are typically prosecutors, but DA =/= prosecutor.

And — unless in novels or some sort of press articles that don't require much precision — you can't refer to Polish rank-and-file prosecutors as 'Deputy District Attorneys' because that would imply 'Zastępca Prokuratora Rejonowego', which is a specific function ('Vice DA' sort of thing).

I agree. But do they use the word "Prosecutor" in the US? Besides, we have two separate things - translation and localization.

I'd suggest it's best to avoid regionalisms and opt for a general term that will not be confused with anything else - eg Procurator or Prosecutor.
