(You'd) better walk the line straight

Maybe a good option: somewhat slangy/colloquial -- the idiom in question is folkly/colloquial. Plus, my suggestion carries the threat implied in the Braz expression.

Problem is, idioms and expressions may at times not have a 'one size fits all' equivalent in the language you're translation to.
