I am translating a business plan for a larage agricultural enterprise. They produce and process cotton and I am trying to figure out if ALGODOEIRA is a cotton gin or is it a more complex/complete piece of equipment and what it's correct name would be in English.

Could you post both what precedes "algodeira" on the list and what comes after it? You know, just for the sake of "whole picture" evaluation...
Cotton gin is usually "descaroçador de algodão", so I find this rather puzzling.

I need more information in order to decide whether to support the answers provided or provide one of my own. If it's on a list of equipment, it seems to refer to the "cotton gin" itself. However, algodoeira often refers to the cotton plant. (continue...)

Can you give us the complete sentence? Of course, "algodoeiro" is a cotton plant, and as an adjective "algodeiro" or any of its forms refers to cotton. But ending in "-a" seems to be a challenge. Maybe it refers to an antecedent that appears before.
