"This dissertation presents a case study on the performance of the School Flow Regularization Project (PRFE) that is part of the Educar para Vencer (PEV) Program in grades 5-8 in a public elementary school in the year 2006 in the city of Salvador. It is based on the importance of educational management, evaluation of its performance, and the need to improve the quality of basic education in view of the high rate of age-grade lag in Bahia. The PRFE was implemented in 369 municipalities, with the participation of 175,599 students in 3,290 schools. The following categories of variables were investigated: pedagogical material, managerial/logistic/pedagogical support, school infrastructure, evaluation of teaching and teacher mediation. The research indicates that the Project did not constitute an effective action neither to avoid that the age-series gap happens nor for the treatment of the same. Despite the reduction in the percentage of students lagged between 2000 and 2006, the individuals involved in the Project did not identify advances in the students' academic achievement due to the inadequacy of the didactic material for the student and teacher, insufficient managerial ...

B. der Politologie in der Wahlforschung; der Volks- und Betriebswirtschaftslehre in der Marktforschung; der Sozialpsychologie mit Experimenten; der Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte mit quantitativen Verfahren), an deren Entwicklung die Soziologie zwar in prominenter, aber nicht ausschließlicher Weise beteiligt war.
