Se que cabo es butt, pero no se que es un "cabo muerto"


luego sigue el pasado y tendido de los cables de Guarda del tejido superior y los laterales, el flechado de los mismos y su retenida con cuellos y cabos “muertos” en la Plataforma Circular de cada Poste donde también se coloca el Terminal Franklin..

En la cima del poste se prevé el embonamiento de una Mesa de Conexión por su Base Cónica que se fija mediante dos pernos pasantes cruzados; mientras que en la parte superior está su Placa de Retenidas donde va instalado un Pararrayos Franklin y en su periferia recibe los accesorios de llegada de los Cables de Guarda para formar los cuellos y cabos “muertos” para conexión laxa a la bajada de Puesta a Tierra.

Proposed revision to code governing strike termination devices, aka lightning rods:
"4.9.2 Dead Ends. A “dead ended” main conductor shall be permitted
between a single strike termination device or full size bonding fitting and a main conductor run under the following conditions:
(A) The main sized conductor run to which the dead-end is connected must have a two-way path to ground.
(B) At a main protected roof level when the horizontal portion of the dead end conductor is not more than 8 ft (2.4 m) in total length.
(C) On a roof below the main protected level when the dead-end conductor is not more than 16 ft (4.9 m) in total length as shown in Figure 4.9.2.
(D) All dead end conductor runs shall maintain a horizontal or downward
course from the strike termination device to the connection point with the main conductor run."
