Suneela Mubayi is a freshly-minted PhD in Arabic literature at NYU, where she completed a thesis on the intersection of classical and modern Arabic poetry. She has translated poems and short stories into and from Arabic, English, and Urdu, and has published her work in Banipal, Beirut39, Jadaliyya, and elsewhere. She has also worked as a consecutive interpreter between Arabic and English at various panels and forums relating to Arabic culture and politics.
