About me
Hello! My name is Lamiya and I'm a translation student living in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I'm fluent at both English and Russian (the latter is my native language, as I was born here) and I'm currently learning Spanish as well. As for my work experience, I have translated several articles for Global Voices news web-site and I translate different documents for Translators Without Borders (I'm a member) as a pro-bono work. All of my translation samples can be seen on my Proz.com profile.

Expectations:

I would like to gain as much experience in translation as possible. And the best time for me to do that is now, while being a student. In this way I grow professionaly with each assignment and fill my portfolio little by little, so by the time I graduate it wiil be easier for me to get a decent translation job and be compitent enough to do it. It is also interesting to try my hand in interpreting, subtitling and localization.
