I am a generalist by nature. While attaining my bachelor's degree in German, I also pursued interests in engineering, math and physics. This generalist approach gradually led to a specialization in translating technical texts, where a combination of technical understanding, linguistic skills and clear writing is required.

Since 2011 I have done translation work for some of the largest engineering companies in Europe, including Volkswagen, BMW, ZF Friedrichshafen, Stihl and Kärcher. The scope of the translated texts reflects the range of the companies involved: from technical specifications and testing standards to marketing materials, online training courses and software interfaces. In each case, the style has to match the context and the intended target audience.

I believe a translation should be at least as good as the original: accurate, clearly written and adapted to the target audience. And always delivered on time.
