English to Bosnian: BIODIVERSITY General field: Other Detailed field: Environment & Ecology
Source text - English But during the past decade, Western Balkan Countries have made a remarkable progress in agriculture and rural development, yet the region still faces major challenges in improving economic performance, governance, and quality of life. The region is rich in natural resources, land suitable for agriculture and valuable biodiversity which is directly connected with long traditions of the private farming and production of some widely recognized products and brands. Investment to increase crop, livestock, forest and fisheries productivity is essential in low-income rural areas. Therefore, development and adoption of ecoagriculture consider using the spaces in and around productive areas for habitat networks, while also improving the habitat quality of productive areas themselves by reducing agrochemical pollution, modifying water, soil and vegetation management, or by modifying farming systems to mimic natural ecosystems. This “ecoagriculture” approaches provide at the same time conservation and enhancing of natural biodiversity.
Translation - Bosnian Ali tokom posljednje dekade, zemlje zapadne Evrope su napravile značajan pomak u razvoju poljoprivrede i zemljoradnje, pa ipak regija se još uvijek suočava sa bitnim problemima oko poboljšanja ekonomskog uspjeha, upravljanja i kvaliteta života. Ovi „ekopoljoprivredni“ pristupi omogućavaju, u isto vrijeme i očuvanje i poboljšanje prirodnog biodiverziteta.
