Legal and medical projects occupy most of my time. Whether briefs, pleadings, discovery, licenses, court decisions, arbitration, and settlements, I have worked with these in the legal field using Dutch, Flemish and French source documents.

Medical? Clinical trials, AEs and patient reports are routine assignments - but articles from medical journals are always welcome.

How did a native American get 30+ years of fluency in Dutch and Flemish? First of all I have lived these languages, from my years in Dutch broadcasting at Radio Nederland Wereldomroep in Hilversum and 10 years with Dutch Embassy here in Washington (retired). One of my three books was written in Dutch and published by Unieboek.

I have read and spoken French as my second language, thanks to an enlightened public school district elementary school.

My list of projects include many translations of court cases in The Netherlands and Belgium, from the lowest levels of their systems right through cassation. Over the years I have worked on discovery and depositions, sales contracts, insurance policy conditions, patent documents. My work is being used daily by attorneys, major corporations, various government agencies.
