Muchas gracias por su atención;

Dear
With the utmost respect and regard I greet you, XX, and at the same time ask your forgiveness for the silence regarding the report sent to you by XX. The reason for the delay was due to my work with XX. Today, I paused during my daily schedule so that I could express my sentiments towards the XX and yourself.
Brief Notes:
XX, there are certainly many deficiencies that we need to resolve in our XX these problems, however, are being taken care of in a manner that reflects the ethical standards of our center. Moreover, we are reorganizing the XX, thanks to you and other organizations like the XX, XX and institutions of the Peruvian State that care greatly for the XX.
I personally, along with the Fellowship movement, those at the forefront of the XX organization and the National Team are all grateful to the PAL for its concern for our XX.
Greetings and appreciation to you aside, I am sending you a summary of the evaluation performed by the XX on the XX along with the support of the consultant XX from April of 2011. Said evaluation reached me on February 14, 2013, two years later.
In the month of April 2011 we were certainly confronted with many economic problems and lack of maintenance to our XX. I accepted the challenge of service to the XX knowing all of these deficiencies awaited me as coordinator. My main concern as a member of the fellowship and later as coordinator was to create an initial short- term project which I sent to the XX and WAS APPROVED BY YOU AND IMPLEMENTED AND REPORTED ON BY US. This project consisted of creating residential dormitory lounges, allowing the bedrooms to be private so that those who arrive at the XX have a good quality of life. Later wardrobes and beside tables were also switched out since they were in disrepair. A small computer room was also created so that our residents, at their assigned times, can access this technology that is so important for them. We also acquired floor polishers and irons. This is all thanks to you, XX, allowing us to provide the best care to our brethren who arrive from the provinces.
Mr. XX, in short I point out that all of these changes that we made in the year 2011 have already been made use of by 35 extremely poor, temporary residents who stayed at the XX for a month or more dependent on their individual needs as patients. We had provincial residents from the farthest reaches of Peru including the capital. Every effort was afforded to help them whether they needed orthopedic devices or other treatments. Now is a good time, Mr. XX, to comment on the transportation capabilities of the XX. Now that we have transport, it is of such great use to the patients of the XX since it allows for them to be taken to the various hospitals, markets and it is also used for other business on behalf of the XX.
In 2012, during the second term to which I was reelected by my fellows, thanks to their confidence in me, I developed a second project that I presented to the XX. This was for the treatment of patients whose requests were put on hold; such as children, youths and adults who needed medical treatment but neither their diagnosis nor condition were known due to our brethrens lack of funds.
Mr. XX, in 2012 we have actually aided 25 people, both men and women, thanks to the support from our friends at XXXX, XX and other institutions. The time spent to accommodate our residents varies based upon the needs of each one. There are many patients waiting, such as those in poliomyelitis sequelae, people with spinal injuries, whether from accidents and/or illness, and other ailments from which they suffer. We hope, Mr. XX, that the presented project is approved so that the next coordinator, who works for the wellbeing of our brethren most in need, can put it into action.
Communication was fluid with the manager XX in respect to her role as the administrator, whose job it is to keep in order the inflow and outflow of money and equipment donated to the XX, consolidated and controlled along with the accountant, XX, of the XX.
During 2011 there was little communication with Fellow XX of the National Team regarding the work we were doing.
Currently communication and coordination with the XX that we work with today is good due to the fact that the coordinator now resides permanently in the XX.
Mr. xx, I bid farewell to you and again thank you for all the support you provided to the project I sent to you. May the Lord enlighten your working and personal life.
RESPONSE TO THE EVALUATION:
Regarding the Evaluation of XX Organization:
3.2 Recommendations to the XX:
RESPONSES:
i) There is no doubt that we need a 5 to 10 year plan. To achieve this we need to organize a 3 day meeting to diagnose, evaluate and plan the development of the XX.
ii) The department has been divided and was cleared in the National Assembly 2011. As per the internal regulations of the fellowship, the rendering of accounts is quarterly. The XX will present a financial report to the National Team signed by the accountant.
(a) The only thing missing are the Sanctions Procedures.
iii) This point is yet to be defined. It will be important that the Coordinator have professional skills.
iv) During the last assembly his role and function was defined. What is lacking is the professional requirement profile.
v) There is no Organizations Manual.
There is no procedure for managing complaints.
vi) We will need to speak and put forward the proposal to our fellows of the assembly and/or the Committee. Of course this is related to the Action Plan.
vii) It is also related to the quarterly reports that are provided to the National Team, which may not go beyond 3 months, therefore they are always backed up by the administration and accounting. As I stated previously, availability will be immediate or at least at each end of the month since that is when we always close our accounts.
Thank you for your attention;

I was in front of the television, after the white smoke appeared, waiting to find out who had finally been elected as our new Pope. I was greatly surprised when they announced the cardinal from Argentina mainly because he had not been mentioned on the list of strong candidates. He had not been presented in any of the news reports as a favorite. I thought immediately about our joy as Latin-Americans to have, for the first time, a Pope from our region and then about how proud and happy our Argentinean sisters must feel. I immediately sent my congratulations via the internet to our regional team member XX.
It is joyful to know that we have a Pope that speaks our language, knows our reality and is close to the upheaval of the Church on our continent. A Pope that has been presented as humble and committed with defined beliefs and who has expressed some differences of opinion with the President of his country.
We pray that this new era, with a Pontiff from our region, renews and strengthens the Church in America and the world, that we can enjoy a rebirth in the Faith of our youth and that we will be with him on all future proposals.

Bio
Translation is a Passion, not just a job
Spanish to English Translator

My native language is US English. I was raised in a bi-cultural family, a Spanish father and a native New York mother. My paternal grandfather lived with us but his English was quite limited, therefore I always heard Spanish spoken on a daily basis. At the age of 7 my family moved to South America where my formal education in Spanish began. As a child I just soaked it all in. I spent 7 years overseas and upon my return to the United States I continued to study Spanish in high school and in college. In college I earned my BA in Spanish and a teacher’s certificate for the State of New Jersey. I have also recently received a certificate in translation from Adelphi University and have completed a graduate level course in Medical Translation at Montclair State University.

I am an extremely focused individual and have been known to attack any project, no matter how trivial or important, as a dog worries a bone, not letting go until finished to the utmost satisfaction. I am very happy to work alone or with a team. Spending many hours researching a field and tracking the different meanings of a word or a phrase is a joy. Punctuality is very important to me so every job I take on will always be on time and of the highest quality.
