I have been working full time as a translator since 1997.
For 12 years, I worked as a senior translator for the translation department of PostNL/TNT. While there, I translated a wide range of material, from brochures, ads and public communications to reports, contracts and technical specifications. Given the sometimes very sensitive nature of the translations at PostNL, I held high clearance for confidential material. I was also expected to be flexible in my working hours, occasionally working through the weekend or well into the night when required. Fast turnaround was our specialty.
I hold the IoLET DipTrans certification. I have attended many translator workshops over the years and completed the LOI introductory legal translation course for Dutch into English.
I worked with SDL Studio for many years and presently work with MemoQ. I have plenty of experience working with Excel, PDFs and PowerPoint documents in all their aspects (text boxes, animations, etc.). I have also translated web content, including the entire Brand Portal for PostNL.
