Both my passion for writing and for languages started to develop early on in my life and so, it quickly became clear what I what I was cut out to do: translating.
That is why, after finishing secondary school, I went to Lessius Highschool-University and began a bachelor in Applied Linguistics in Dutch, English and Russian. In the third year of my bachelor I spent a semester in Moscow to really develop my knowledge of the Russian language.
After my bachelor, I enrolled in the Master in Translation. After obtaining this, I spent another two weeks in Saint-Petersburg on an in-depth Russian language course to refine my knowledge of the language even more.
After this, I felt like studying some more, so I decided to continue my studies with a Postgraduate European Master in Specialised Translation. In this programme, I focused on audiovisual translation and website and software localization. I also did a four month internship with a translation company in London as a part of this Postgraduate programme.
