Source text - English A June 8, 2001, Gallup Poll, for example, reported a significant increase in belief in a number of paranormal phenomena since 1990, including haunted houses, ghosts, witches, communicating with the dead, psychic or spiritual healing, that extraterrestrial beings have visited earth, and clairvoyance. In support of my claim that the effects of gender, age, and education show content dependent effects, the Gallup poll found:
Gender: Women are slightly more likely than men to believe in ghosts and that people can communicate with the dead. Men, on the other hand, are more likely than women to believe in only one of the dimensions tested: that extraterrestrials have visited earth at some point in the past.
Age: Younger Americans — those 18 to 29 — are much more likely than those who are older to believe in haunted houses, in witches, in ghosts, that extraterrestrials have visited earth, and in clairvoyance. There is little significant difference in belief in the other items by age group. Those 30 and older are somewhat more likely to believe in possession by the devil than are the younger group.
Education: Americans with the highest levels of education are more likely than others to believe in the power of the mind to heal the body. On the other hand, belief in three of the phenomena tested goes up as the educational level of the respondent goes down: possession by the devil, astrology and haunted houses.

I gather from your letter that your son is a homosexual. I am most impressed by the fact, that you do not mention this term yourself in your information about him. May I question you why you avoid it? Homosexuality is assuredly no advantage, but it is nothing to be ashamed of, no vice, no degradation, it cannot be classified as an illness; we consider it to be a variation of the sexual function produced by a certain arrest of sexual development. Many highly respectable individuals of ancient and modern times have been homosexuals, several of the greatest men among them (Plato, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, etc.) It is a great injustice to persecute homosexuality as a crime and cruelty too. If you do not believe me, read the books of Havelock Ellis.
By asking me if I can help, you mean, I suppose, if I can abolish homosexuality and make normal heterosexuality take its place. The answer is, in a general way, we cannot promise to achieve this. Languages are fascinating, how communication shaped our brains since the dawn of man, the way we think thanks to it, the way our vocal folds develop, and all the knowledge future generations will have access to. I love languages since I was a child. Learning has always been very entertaining to me.
I provide language services since 2011. I teach English to children, teenagers and adults of every level, in group or individual classes, online, at my place or at the student's place of choice (home, company, public spaces etc), I also offer classes of English for business and special aid to students with learning difficulties. In 2014, I achieved the highest score in TOEIC.
The highlight of my career so far were the years I worked at Festival do Rio (Rio International Film Festival), in which I developed many competences in different areas. There I worked as an interpreter, translator, interviewed cast and crew of the festival's films and aided in the subtitling and screenwriting of the festival's institutional videos (RioMarket).
In 2016, I won LocJAM 3, a global contest of game localization and I'm really looking forward to work in the gaming industry.
In 2021, I got my official certification in audiovisual translation and video game localization.
