2 minutes’ walk from Exit 3 of Shin-Fukushima station on the JR Tōzai Line
Within an area of Osaka with many restaurants, there is the district of Fukushima with many diverse restaurants. Standing out among them is Kamoshiya Kusumoto, which has been gaining popularity since its opening in October 2006.
The owner and chef is Noriyuki Kusumoto. The dishes are all self-taught and feature true originality that breaks the mold. Courses change each month and consists of around 10 creative dishes including French and Indian cuisine, French and Chinese cuisine, Italian and Japanese cuisine or Korean and Japanese cuisine. The restaurant’s name Kamoshiya means brewery, and stocks around 2000 bottles of wine and 200 bottles of sake which pair well with the cuisine. Depending on the theme of the course, for example, with French and Indian cuisine, alcohol from France or India pair well. The Madame is mainly in charge of service, and customers who order a bottle of wine may try at least 3 different types to match with your meal to enhance your dining experience.
The restaurants design theme is chic, modern and simple.
The interior uses different materials like wood, metal, and glass, and has a strangely cohesive shape which gives off a relaxed setting similar to that of a bar. There is 1 private room which holds 4 people, and 9 seat counter. In addition to dates, the restaurant is recommended for get-togethers for simply enjoying the taste of good food. With the comforting and attentive service from its madam, it is indeed a ‘brewery’ where you will want to visit every month.
■ 2 minute’ walk from exit 3 of JR Shin-Fukushima station.
A ‘Brewery’ where you can enjoy the finest marriage of cuisine and wine with creative dishes.
■ It is possible to take photos however please refrain from using flash, shutter sounds or photographing other customers (especially the chefs).
A restaurant in Osaka and Fukushima where you can enjoy creative dishes and selected liquor with the finest cuisine. The attentive service and tasteful parings are also very charming.
