Hi there, this is Keping Xu, a Level III freelance translator certified by Australia National Accreditation Authority for Translators & Interpreters and a Level II interpreter/translator certified by the Ministry of Personnel, PRC, with nearly 8 years of solid full-time translation experience.
I've been working as a freelance translator since July 2011, with a focus on the financial services sector. Specifically, I work on securities research notes, time-critical corporate news, market commentaries, roundups of speeches by high ranking officials, in-depth features, etc.
Most recently, I had served as an in-house translator with Dow Jones & Co., Inc. from May 2007 to June 2010, mainly responsible for translating selected news content from Dow Jones Newswires into traditional Chinese and also editing teammates’ work as a copyeditor. As part of Chinese Language Services, the translation desk I had been working with covers a wide range of asset classes, including equity, forex, commodities, bonds, etc.
Before that, I had worked as a full-time translator for 2 years with Beijing-based All-rounder Translation Services. At All-rounder, I translated a large number of corporate materials from English to print-quality Chinese, building up a wealth of translation expertise and skills.
Previously, I had also served as an interpreter/translator with Beijing Voguezone Technologies. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language from Suzhou University of Science and Technology in 2003, with a specialty focus on international trade.
Again, it's a great pleasure to land on this online workplace, networking with fellow professionals! |
