I recently found the following job "offered" on ProZ, (@ €0.05/word). The name of the agency was withheld and access to info about them denied to non-Platinum members. I believe that ProZ should support the courage of their conviction of agencies that DO post their identities along with job offers, and make them all openly available, otherwise the offer, the agency and ProZ all appear to be parties to collusion to take advantage of any "cheap" translator at the expense of professional quality,... Hi Kevin,
First of all, I would like to point out that the information disclosed is identical for Platinum and non-Platinum members - IOW the company name was not visible to Platinum members either.
The reason why the company name is not a mandatory field on the Job Posting Form is that non-agency outsourcers also use ProZ.com to farm out work to other translators - forcing them to enter a company name would create a problem for them.

I agree that in this particular instance that was not the case, given the text that clearly indicated an agency.
If you spot something like this, please contact a Jobs Area coordinator, indicating the URL of the job concerned.
In fact, ProZ.com and a group of moderators are active to enhance transparency - you're certainly aware of the ProZ.com Blue Board. As you will see, I have done some research and added an entry to the BB.
