I have a client that asks for translation and DTP work on a catalogue. Could you give some guidelines on how much I should charge for DTP work?
Thank you in advance!

DTP work is a professional service in its own right. Are you familiar with it? If not, I recommend not offering it.

Anywhere between USD 5 and 90

Just to give you a rough idea. Price will depend on the complexity of the page. DTP usually requires a trained craftsman, hence it can be charged accordingly.

Agree wholeheartedly with Klaus, and by the hour please. By the hour.

Well... if the work is complex, a 'per hour' charge could get out of hand. I would rather charge for the whole job. I am now in the throes of translating a publication and a colleague of mine is doing the DTP. AFAIK he is issuing an invoice for the whole thing. I would also think the client will more easily accept a quote of, say, EUR 500 than a quote of EUR 25/ hour.
Just some thoughts.
