Jenn, if you enjoy literary translation as a hobby, how about though opinionated, but your ideas, comments, or even a comparative analysis of known literary translations? Specialists often have different background, exp, umwelt and historical context, preferences, styleguides, and--of course--time limits, so they deliberately sacrifice (optimize) translation elements. Specialists often have different background, exp, umwelt and historical context, preferences, styleguides, and--of course--time limits, so they deliberately sacrifice (optimize) translation elements. There're often several different versions of the same pieces, lyrics or poems, let alone equirhytmic or poetic translations. If you write poetry, then translation would be handy too.
Why, even just posting excerpts of your current drafts should (besides critics) attract like-minded and interested people, including colleagues and authors. It seems to make a good start)
