There are some English books that I personally would love to translate into Indonesian, but I have no idea what the next step will be after translating them. Does anybody know what copyright issues there are, how to deal with them, how to get your translations published, etc.? Any information/insight/input will be greatly appreciated.

The publisher should have information available regarding copyright and other relevant details. If the author is still alive, then you may also have to negotiate with him/her or the relevant literary agent.
