Many of these questions are easier for a foreigner to answer than for someone who learned spoken and colloquial language before formal grammar and register.

One would learn correct and formal grammar at school even if one learnt spoken and colloquial language first.
From you profile, your native language is German, but if this game was in your native language, would you still say that it's unfair to native German speakers?
