Nice to implement this feature. Oct 5, 2010

But this thread was written last year, but nothing had happen.

I like the know what the asker selected, even in cases where the choice was let to the community. And I like to know, whether my arguments were convincing or not.

Many of such questions were posted and I tried to found reliable reference for the asker, especially from that of my profession (I am no fulltime translator, but works in the certification environment and like to share my professional experiences)

I like the know what the asker selected, even in cases where the choice was let to the community. And I like to know, whether my arguments were convincing or not.

Many of such questions were posted and I tried to found reliable reference for the asker, especially from that of my profession (I am no fulltime translator, but works in the certification environment and like to share my professional experiences).

If questions of that kind are closed automatically or not, I only see that the question was closed, but no entry in the glossary. The only way to got feedback is to address the asker again in the discussion box. But this is difficult as moderators have sometimes the impression, I would beg for points or influences anybodies decision, even the question was closed, and are inclined to hide the question following clause 3.6 of the KudoZ rules.

Therefore please resume this action to implement a feature that informs peers about the asker's choice.

regards,
Johannes

In fact a notification was implemented Oct 6, 2010

When the asker selects an answer less than 24 hours after asking and leaves the decision to the community, the grading decision is made 72 hours later. When this thread was started the system had a problem whereby no notifications were sent to the posters of non-selected answers.

This problem was acknowledged and solved, and currently two different notifications are sent to the poster of the selected answer and to the posters of the other answers. In both cases the selected answer is reported.

No report is provided regarding the question originally selected by the asker, but if the selected answer has less than two net agrees (agrees minus disagrees) then you can be sure that the answer was selected by the asker (two net agrees at least are required for community-based grading).

Regards,
Enrique
