Last month, I looked up a translator with a name similar to mine with a direct name search in Proz Find.
To my surprise, I found not only his and my profiles but also 3 empty listings titled Thomas T. Frost (X). See the screenshot (information not relevant to this forum post has been hidden).
Last month, I looked up a translator with a name similar to mine with a direct name search in Proz Find.
To my surprise, I found not only his and my profiles but also 3 empty listings titled Thomas T. Frost (X). See the screenshot (information not relevant to this forum post has been hidden).
If they don't exist, why are they listed in a search? It looks messy.
What are or were these profiles? I've only ever had my present one. Were they set up by scammers and then removed by staff?
I asked these questions to support on 16 September. They said they would refer it to site developers and get back to me. As a non-member, I can't really complain, but it would be interesting to know if others have observed similar problems.
