Christine, you are so right...BUT sometimes we see translators asking many questions that seem very basic in highly-complex fields. To me, that is an ethical question. I can live without the points. Will I be helping someone do a bad translation? sometimes the questions are medical!

Translations can have repercussions on human life - even if it relates to machinery safety and operation.

In addition, undercutting of rates often goes along with the high number of questions.

I know the next posting will be to tell me not to answer.......I often don't! I prefer to help professionals who are stuck.
