Hello. I had seen when I see something in

Russian There is a way of writing in this

language I can't understand. Can someone

explain me why does occur something like

that and how can I find a solution?

With my best wishes

Ciccio

Do you mean you don't see the cyrillic characters?
Then you should try to change your coding setting to Russian in you browser.

Hello, Ciccio

You should set up your computer for writing Russian letters in the following way:

Click on "Start" in the left corner of your computer with the left mouse key. Then look for "Settings", then "System control".
You have to find "Regional and language options". Click on it and
set up the country (Russia) and the language (Russian) there. If you have done so, there will be a small button on the right corner showing "RU".
(I used the German designations translated into English, they could differ somewhat on your Italian computer.)

The same you can do with any other language (e.g. Italian). So you always can switch over from Italian to Russian.

And you should have a keyboard with Latin and Russian letters.
If you cannot find something in Italy (via Internet) I could give you an address. I think they will send you the keyboard to Italy when you order it there.

Good luck

Sybille

More on encoding Jan 25, 2006

The standard encoding for Russian on this site is Cyrillic Windows-1251, so that is the one to use.
There are others, in particular KOI8-R, which is used a lot in Russia including on Russian-based websites, so if Cyrillic Windows-1251 doesn't work, try that.
