Tips on sending money from US to Pakistan?

I asked another member of Proz for a short translation into Urdu for one of my clients, without any idea how difficult it would be to pay him. I live in the US, he is in Pakistan.
I tried Skrill and Western Union online portal several times over the weeks, the same error message comes up, asking to try later...
Does anyone have a suggestion how to do it?

I think there is an option in Payoneer.
it can transfer money from Payoneer to Payoneer account.
I am using Payoneer in Pakistan but I am not sure if it will be possible.
have a try and please inform me then
