I use Dragon Naturally Speaking to dictate into Trados 2014. Speeds me up a lot.

I started using DNS about four or five years ago (mainly with Trados Studio 2011) and it works very well. I don't use it all the time but for many projects - mainly the bigger ones.

I don't use CAT tools and I find that typing helps my thinking process (man (or woman) is a creature of habits). Speeding up my work is not my main concern…

I've been using DNS for a couple of years now and it's working very well with WordFast Pro. It is a blessing, especially for my wrists.

In fact I have just been reading about people's experiences with Dragon and Trados two minutes ago in another group I follow.

As I see it, it's a matter of input/output.
A keyboard converts specific keystrokes into the corresponding chars (ASCII codes) at the cursor location. A smartphone converts positions X-Y on the touch screen AND the corresponding screen "section" (i.e. uppercase, lowercase, numbers) into that. OCR software converts dot assemblies into that.
If speech recognition can convert sounds into ASCII codes, it's just a matter of getting these codes to the text entry field on the ... See more As I see it, it's a matter of input/output.

I work with a combination of DNS and Workfast Classic on a daily basis and have done so for the past 7 years. I would not want to be without it.

I have used DNS for several years with Wordfast Classic without any problem, albeit not every day, but mostly for bigger (and boring) jobs, in order to speed up the whole thing.

And, Dragon or the likes would have to have a very powerful function to filter out all the monosyllabic Anglo-Saxon expletives that tend to leave my lips when I'm working. 
It would also have to be able to recognize long technical terms like 'stoichiometric ratio' or other similar tongue-twisters.
