Diallo Hamady, I was born on September 17,
1990, in Bougouni, Southern part of Mali. I got my Baccalaureate Degree in 2009
with honours, which allowed me to be an awardee of the Malian Governmental
prestigious scholarship to study in Algeria. I was enrolled and majored in
English Language Studies at the University of Bechar, Algeria. I graduated in
2013.
Since my return to Mali in 2013, I was engaged
in many positions. I taught English Language subject at La Plume (High School)
from 2013 to 2014. After that, I was contracted as an Assistant at Movement
Control (Movcon) within MINUSMA, Bamako. From November 2015, I moved to a new
role at Ecolog International as a Quality Assurance, Health and Safety Officer in
Gao, Mali.
In March 2016, I was recruited as a Language
Assistant (Translator/Interpreter) by the Dutch contingent within MINUSMA in
GAO. I worked for both Dutch and German contingents in Gao for three years and
three months, then I joined the United Nations Global Pulse under the control
of Pulse Lab Kampala, Uganda. I worked there as an International Consultant as
a Bambara/Fulani and French translator. Also, I was the Team Leader for the
United Nations Global Pulse office in Bamako. In December 2022, I was recruited
by MINUSMA to continue on the same project as Senior Translator and Supervisor
of 5 translators. Unfortunately, following the request of withdrawal of MINUSMA
from Mali by Malian Government, that project was ended by June 30th,
2023. Currently, I am a translator for UN investigation Office, OIOS in Bamako,
Mali.
