Another hit!

We were a group of 7 (rather fitting) and were able to mingle quite nicely at our dinner table. Percy, visiting Canada with friend Fanneke, who compared the wilderness of BC trappers' dens with the urban garden we were in, and Percy talked about the Netherlands being "one permanent traffic jam" (doesn't bother us freelancers, though, right? :-)), Li inquired about English and French to Chinese jobs, Daniela talked about her hometown of Cancun and her father, also a freetranslator, Chantal had to run several blocks away to feed the greedy parking meter, and Bernard shared his melted cheese appetizer (but not the chocolate cake! LOL) and I, with my pirate eyepatch, enjoyed our surroundings, the jazz music, and laughed at all the jokes (I even tried to crack a few myself.) No visit to Deux Pierrots this time; it was a gorgeous evening and the jazz festival filled the Montreal air with music, so we broke up and went our separate ways into the twinkling night.

I had no camera with me, so I hope another attendee will share photos.

Judging from the messages of thanks received both privately and online, this low-key gathering was a hit - so thank you, Percy, for "annoying" me with your request, it was awesome!

Thank you Nancy for organizing this wonderful event. The setting was ideal, we could talk freely and it was not expensive at all. Nice people too!
