Hello everyone! Our December Powwow was at Nicola's Lebanese Restaurant, the same location where we had our September Powwow. Although we had a very light turnout because of the holidays, those who did show up had a BLAST eating addictively delicious Lebanese food and dancing up a storm with the restaurant's fun-loving proprietor Nicola and the other restaurant patrons!! Our timing was perfect as we were there the same night Nicola's hosts its bellydancing night. Many talented dancers were there to wow the crowd and show off their skills, including one who danced with lit oil lamps in her hands and a group of three who danced with swords balanced on their heads.
Those of you who didn't make it really did miss out!!!!
As a change of pace, we are thinking of having our next Powwow at a Somali restaurant of Abraham Abukar's suggestion. We will keep you posted.
